October 16, 2013 marks the 13th annual National Feral Cat Day—a day founded by Alley Cat Allies to raise awareness and support for feral cats across the country. In preparation we helped Alley Cat Allies produce two videos. First, we wrote the script for a Public Service Announcement featuring Jackson Galaxy, host of Animal Planet’s My Cat From Hell. Second, we produced a video directed at Alley Cat Allies’ supporters encouraging them to hold a local event in honor of National Feral Cat Day.
Alley Cat Allies secured media coverage of the Jackson Galaxy PSA and as of today the video has 12,000+ views on YouTube!
The event recruitment video, along with other tactics, helped Alley Cat Allies exceed their goal of 400 events being registered on their website www.NationalFeralCatDay.org.
