A 2015 Women of Influence Award Winner
(New York, NY) March 19, 2015 – Entrepreneur, business owner and lifetime Queens resident Patricia Ellen Jones, founder and president of the marketing firm Paws PR in Woodside, has been named a 2015 Pet Age Women of Influence. The awards program is produced by Pet Age, a national publication covering the pet industry, providing the latest industry news and more.
The Women of Influence awards program honors women leaders who are influential in the pet manufacturing or servicing industry. Successful candidates will have a solid reputation based on experience, integrity and leadership and have a proven track record of accomplishments.
In 2005, Jones launched P Jones Communications, and has led successful, integrated campaigns on behalf of a variety of clients. Paws PR, a division of P Jones Communications, is a marketing company focused on raising awareness for pet product companies and animal protection organizations.

After graduating New York University, Patricia’s career began at NBC News as a Page. She soon joined NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, as a production assistant and quickly rose to the level of producer for the broadcast. Jones’ lifelong interest in animal protection guided her next career move to Director of Media Relations at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). She was quickly promoted to Vice President of Media Relations and Advertising, where she remained for seven years before launching her own company. Jones serves on the Board of Directors of the nonprofit Photographers for Animals, an organization using film and photography to change the world for animals.
